Medical Vacuum Systems

BeaconMedaes Claw
Standard Claw

The BeaconMedaes Claw Vacuum System utilizes a dry, frictionless, multi-claw technology. The rotors spin in opposite directions, synchronized via precision gears, creating a highly efficient vacuum system. The rotors never contact the housing or each other, which removes the need for any lubricant or sealing fluid inside the pumping chamber.

Due to the contact-less operation, the only maintenance is a simple matter of replacing the gear lube and changing an inlet filter annually.

Beacon Medaes VSD Claw
Variable Speed Drive Claw

Variable speed drive matches the vacuum motor speed to the vacuum demand, resulting in maximum efficiency of the vacuum system.
  • Greater energy efficiency
  • Vacuum level consistency
  • Reduced noise and heat
  • Longer machine life

Beacon Medaes Oil-less Rotary Vane
Oil-Less Rotary Vane

Combining several unique concepts in an over-under package, the BeaconMedaes Lifeline® vertical vacuum package offers the smallest footprint of any fully NFPA 99 compliant medical vacuum package.

Due to the very real possibility of pathogenic contamination, waste oil from lubricated medical vacuum systems may be classified as bio hazardous material. This results in increased oil disposal costs for the hospital, as well as increased health risks for maintenance personnel. Since BeaconMedaes Lifeline® oil-less vacuum systems are 100% oil-free, there are no waste oil disposal issues.

The oil-less vane pumps from BeaconMedaes are easily maintained by personnel with ordinary tools and no special skills. This makes them ideal for small facilities with limited maintenance staff.

Beacon Medaes Lubricated Vane
Lubricated Rotary Vane

BeaconMedaes Lifeline® lubricated rotary vane systems define rugged reliability. With a guaranteed vane life of 50,000 hours, high efficiency coupled with quiet, vibration-free operation have made the lubricated rotary vane pump a proven industry performer.

Thanks to a unique aluminum alloy vane design, coupled with extra-deep cooling fins on the cylinder, heat generated during normal operation is efficiently dissipated. The result is the most trouble-free pump on the market.

Liquid Ring Camel

Most vacuum technologies measure life in terms of "hours" but liquid ring measures in decades. No vanes, no friction results in extraordinary long life with minimal requirements.

BeaconMedaes Lifeline® Camel systems utilize Nash Engineering® and Nash Elmo liquid ring pumps - the world's best known liquid ring pumps.

Liquid ring is a simple technology. A rotor spins a sealing fluid (usually water) inside of a cylindrical housing. Since the rotor is offset to the housing, the fluid moves in and out of "buckets" as the rotor turns. The fluid acts as an ideal piston, pumping air virtually without friction. The rotor never touches the housing, so the pump suffers no internal wear.

Water usage and loss of supply are often cited as reasons to forgo the advantages of liquid rings. The BeaconMedaes Lifeline® Camel provides the answer to both issues through an on-board reservoir containing up to 48 hours of reserve seal water

Unlike other technology options, liquid ring systems can ingest volumes of liquid contaminants without noticeable effect on pump operation.
